Protection for: "The Doctor's Office"

Dr. Douglas F. Liva, MD is an eminent Ophthalmologist who is in private practice in Paramus, NJ. Over his years of practice, Dr. Liva has become increasingly aware of the damage to the eyes that continual contact with ultraviolet rays causes.

"Chronic exposure to ultraviolet radiation has been linked to the development of cataracts and age-related macular degeneration. And just because you're indoors or in your car does not mean you're fully protected. Ultraviolet light is still transmitted through glass," the doctor recently commented in a television interview on the dangers of UV exposure.

Soft Horizons (V33) and Day view (V45) films were installed on the twenty-nine large (four feet by eight feet in dimension) windows and doors. Highly transparent retrofit films were professionally applied on the inside of the glass. UVSheild film is compatible with all singe and double pane (thermal) windows of any shape or size, normally found in today's homes. Shield films are a complex laminate of polyester and metabolized coatings with an exclusive, clear, distortion free adhesive system and a special scratch resistant coating built in that allows for easy maintenance. Read full case study here
